Dear Sis. Edith,
It took me a while to email you about what happened to me as I listen to the CD copy of your preaching, which I got from a sister in the Lord last July 22. On this same day, I went to the doctor because I felt a lump on my right breast. The doctor advised to have it removed through surgery since it has already grown an inch. The bad news made me depressed. It’s not easy to undergo surgery when you’re abroad and alone. I also don’t know how much it will cost me.
Contemplating on these and looking for comfort, I played the CD of your preaching as soon as I reached home. While I was listening to it, I burst into tears. I was so touched by what you were saying about the Lord’s willingness and power to heal just like what He did to you as you wrestled with the big C! Right there and then as you uttered the pastoral prayer, I took the oil and anointed my chest and claimed God’s healing by faith! Then the next day I had the ultrasound as part of the requirements for the surgery. In the process, I prayed God to melt the lump. I give Him the glory and praise for the lump in my breast became 0.5 cm only when the ultrasound was done! The doctor said it is not cancerous and I won’t even need to take medicines for this. I went home with so much joy in my heart!
Yet after four days, I felt so much pain in my right abdomen and was rushed to the hospital. This time, I was diagnosed to have a lump in my right kidney. I was terribly in pain that night, so the doctor ordered painkiller to be administered on me. As I lay on bed, I thought again of your preaching and kept telling God to glorify His name in what I was going through. I also tried to fight loneliness again because I am far from home and was all alone there.
The next day I was sent for CT scan. While undergoing such, I kept calling on the name of the Lord, for Him to be with me because I’m really scared! Hours later, the doctor told me there’s a growth in my right kidney that erupted and caused internal bleeding. But praise God for the bleeding stopped and that the growth is not cancerous! He explained, “It happens by chance and it just grows by itself.”
I was required to stay for three more days in the hospital for further treatment and throughout these days I just listened to the mp3 I brought and kept playing and listening again and again to the CD that contains your preaching. It really made a tremendous impact in my life and I can’t say anything more except that I was blessed by your life! I never knew God as my personal healer, comforter, shield, strength and provider until I heard your testimony. I am so thankful for the miracle I received from Him. He did not let me pay because the bills were covered by the insurance and was shouldered as well by my employer, who likewise ordered a raise in my salary! God is indeed so good and faithful to every one who believes in Him!
Sis. Edith, I can’t thank you enough! I pray God to continue to use you as you serve your purpose in our generation. God bless you and keep you more and more!
